Part 1 – New York Times article New America, a company that produces the radio and television broadcast of the United Methodist Church, will be the beneficiary of a new partnership with the nonprofit organization The First Community Media Network.
The partnership will help fund the mission of New America and its media and communications efforts, said Paul W. Johnson, executive vice president of media and marketing for The First.
The new partnership will provide New America with the opportunity to build its presence on a global scale, said Johnson, who will be announcing the new partnership at the New America press conference on September 20 in New York City.
“We are thrilled to be a part of The First Network’s mission to reach more people in ways that matter to them,” Johnson said.
New America will be able to deliver programs, videos and content through New America.
The First will also receive funding from New America as a non-profit entity, Johnson said, adding that the new funding will be used for the First Network, which will be managed by Johnson and his partner, executive producer of the program, Mike Berenson.
The first-ever national program, the program will feature local pastors and ministers from around the world, including a number of former U.S. presidents, including Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, John Kerry and Joe Biden.
The program will also feature new stories and music, including gospel and hip-hop music from the churches of New Orleans and New York.
The news and programs are being produced by Johnson, Berensons producers and New America staff members.
“This is a very exciting opportunity for our organization,” said Johnson.
“New America is a global media company that has long been at the forefront of the Church-to-Church media-relations efforts.
It is a perfect fit for our mission and for our vision.”
Johnson said New America has been looking to establish itself as a leader in the media relations arena.
New American’s network of more than 200 local churches in North America and the Caribbean is the largest and most powerful of its kind in the world.
“The First Network will bring our passion for the gospel and mission of our church to the 21st century,” Johnson continued.
“Our media, communications and content strategy is designed to empower and empower more people through our radio, television and print media.”
New America is also in the process of establishing its first global mission.
The company will continue its work in the United States through its own radio stations in Los Angeles and New Orleans.
New Americans radio and TV station in Los Angels, known as WNYU-AM, will carry the station’s news and current events, and will also be broadcast on local churches.
WNYE will be a station in New Orleans, the city where Johnson has spent most of his professional life.

“At the core of our work is our belief that God’s word will inspire us to do more for others, Johnson continued, adding, “New Americans mission is more than just being the largest church news station in the U.N. world, it is also to be an asset for our communities and our communities around the globe.
“I know that it is difficult to find new ways to communicate the gospel in our time of global crisis.
We are doing our best to bring our message to those who have not yet been converted to our faith, Johnson concluded.
