The body of a steel drum instrument, believed to be a metal drum, was found on Sunday in Chicago, police said.
The object, believed in the early 1990s, was discovered near an apartment complex in the 4500 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to a news release from the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The body of the drum was found in the grass area near a dumpster, and the metal drum was discovered in the alley, according the release.
The cause of death was not immediately available.
The discovery of the metal instrument was made on Sunday at about 4:20 p.m. after it was spotted by residents of a building across the street from the apartment complex.
It was found about three blocks away from the area where the owner had placed a metal pole on a fence in the parking lot of a restaurant, according of the news release.
No arrests have been made.
